Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, the Coordinator of Women’s Basketball Operations provides administrative support to the Women’s Basketball program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruiting Operations - Maintain and coordinate the recruiting calendar in alignment with NCAA regulations. Organize all aspects of official and unofficial visits (travel, itineraries, accommodations, meals, campus tours). Act as liaison between recruits, coaching staff, and campus departments (admissions, compliance, housing, etc.)
  • Women's Basketball Operations - Coordinate Head Coach's calendar on a weekly and sometimes daily basis. Answer phone calls and return messages from the public regarding the program.
  • Team Travel - Work with the department’s travel agent and create detailed travel itineraries. Identify and develop travel needs and exercise judgment and discretion in the planning and execution of team travel arrangements and logistics.
  • Team Liaison - Liaise with visiting teams, coordinate practice times, laundry services, and related tasks. Work with the Athletics Ticket Office to coordinate and record student-athlete guest passes for home games.
  • Supervision of volunteers & student managers.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Strong knowledge of basketball and NCAA Division I operations. Experience in administering basketball programs and a solid understanding of NCAA policies and procedures. Excellent communication and organizational skills, proficiency in PC operations including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and the ability to quickly learn systems such as the tape exchange program. Ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate well with coaches, staff, faculty, students, and the broader community.
