The Creative Design Coordinator assists with the coordination of graphic design and production of all athletics department projects, including, but not limited to, advertising, print and digital channels for all 21 sports sponsored by LSU.
85% Coordinate graphic design and production for sport(s) as assigned. Including, but not limited to, designing content for social media platforms, assets for the LSU Athletics websites, record books, printed publications; Assist with other marketing and promotional items for all 21 sports; Responsible for the production of all business cards, stationary, advertisements, fliers and brochures for the athletic department; Production to include graphic design and communication; Coordinate printing process with outside printing vendors; Develop creative that reflects the LSU Athletics brand and is consistent with the department’s communications goals; Schedule, manage and prioritize graphic design pieces.
10% Collaborates with multiple departments, including communications, creative design, video, social media and branding, Sports Properties, NIL, marketing, broadcast operations and team staff to document in a creative way the department’s student-athletes, staff, and coaches. Ability to work in a team/collaborative environment is a must. Ensure all designs and projects adhere to the overall strategic plan and brand continuity of LSU Athletics.
5% Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department initiatives through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities, as well as participation in the transformational culture consistent with the values of LSU and its Athletics Department; Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma with one year of proven graphic design skills in a high paced, demanding professional setting. Ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously. Working knowledge and experience with Apple/Mac Computers; Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite handling various software tools like Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Procreate (illustration software) or Adobe After Effects or other motion software.
Special or Physical Requirements
Ability to work extended days and weekends.
