General Information:
James Madison University, a Division I Member of the NCAA and Sun Belt Conference is seeking a Creative Video Assistant. This position is a part-time position working 1500 hours over the period of one year with no benefits.
The Creative Video Assistant will report directly to the Director of Video Services and will serve as a vital part of the Creative Services team, assisting with the coverage of all 18 varsity sport programs to highlight the student-athlete experience and the Athletics department. Our team is looking for eager content producers with an eye for social media and a desire to grow their skills and work collaboratively with a team.
This position will be required to work in both an office setting as well as consistently contributing to the coverage of a variety of varsity sporting events. There is some potential for travel as needed by the department.
An online portfolio is required for consideration. The anticipated start date is late July or early August.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge of the video production process, with an emphasis on creative content creation
Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on Premiere Pro and After Effects
Dependability, consistency and willingness to take risks and learn new things.
A highly motivated, energetic individual with the ability to manage multiple tasks on a tight timeline that includes weekend and evening work as needed
A team player who gets along well with others and respects the departmental reporting structure.

Conditions of Employment:
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.
This is a part-time wage position working up to an average of 29 hours per week over the course of a calendar year with no benefits.
