The Deputy Athletic Director assists the Vice President of Athletic Strategy & Director of Athletics with the day-to-day management and operation of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, also serving as the Title IX Deputy Coordinator for the department. This dynamic leader will assist in the overall strategic goals of the department as a member of the Athletics Executive Council. This includes the supervision, management, evaluation and oversight of sports programs and units within athletics.

Assist with all MAC Championships and post-season events hosted by BGSU and their coordination with related support areas in the Department and on-campus.
Sport administrator for select programs
Promote the Athletics program to the fullest extent possible, to generate student, faculty, staff, alumni and public interest. Represent the Department/University at various fund raising, public relations, and community functions. Assist with the creating and implementation of marketing /promotional plans for applicable sport programs.
Serve as a campus Title IX Deputy Coordinator (DC). The DC is a “responsible employee” or point person for the university who receives, investigates and/or assists with the resolution of Title IX complaints. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, assisting the coordinator in conducting formal and informal investigations, facilitating formal and informal mediations, interviewing witnesses, collecting evidence, report writing, making recommendations for remedial actions, and handling appeals. Assists with Title IX policy development, revisions and monitoring; and assists with training requirements for employees, boards and other appropriate members of the campus community. In addition, monitor and evaluate progress toward the gender equity and minority opportunities plan. Serve as Athletics Department’s Title IX Coordinator.
Responsible for the selection, supervision, guidance, and evaluation of the Assistant AD of Sports Medicine (as well as the overall operation of the Athletics Training Room) and the Director of Sport Performance (as well as the overall operation of the Weight Room) and the Senior Associate AD for Governance and Eligibility. This includes budget development, oversight and approval of all expenditures.
Serve on Department/University committees and projects as assigned by the Vice President for Athletic Strategy and Director of Athletics. Serve as a Department liaison to related campus contacts .
Assist with the overall design, implementation and evaluation of the athletic department’s operating culture and strategic priorities.
Serve as the department liaison with university Human Resources. Lead strategic initiatives with internal HR processes.
Other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Athletic Strategy and Director of Athletics.
