UTEP Athletics

This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. Must possess a valid driver’s license issued by the State where the applicant resides and must be insurable as defined in the UT System UTS 157, as applicable to the performance of essential duties and responsibilities of the position.

Oversee all facets of athletic fundraising, ticketing, and interfacing with the External Relations unit, in addition to some sports supervision.
The ideal candidate will:
Oversee the Office of Athletic Development and its budget.
Collaborate with the Athletic Director to identify campaign targets, strategy to reach targets, execute and monitor utilizing data to measure success.
Work with the Athletic Ticket Office and on-campus development office to coordinate campaign calendar, ensure external team is up to date of campaigns and aware of basic development language/processes, and oversee the Ticket Office - Aspire relationship.
Investigate, analyze, and implement new and create ways to reach new donors for the annual fund. Analyze processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
Serve as primary liaison with University Advancement.
Hire staff and configure the Office of Athletic Development, including providing training and support for developmental staff.
Coordinate sports-specific funding.
Ensure appropriate stewardship program.
Oversee the Athletic Priority Point System.
Maintain Courtesy Car Program.
Develop a long-range plan for athletic fundraising, including an annual plan and evaluation program.
Ability to communicate the mission and story of UTEP Athletics and Miner Athletic Club to constituents in person, over the phone, or via email.
Perform high level annual gift solicitations, 10-20 monthly face to face visits with prospective UTEP supporters in coordination with annual fund campaigns.
Assist the Miner Athletic Club with special events including inviting guests or soliciting for attendees. Occasionally support event operations.
Sports supervision for 2 sports.
Represent the Department of Athletics at athletic contests, community and donor events when necessary, including night and weekends.
Serve on the Athletic Director's Executive Team.
Knowledge of and compliance with NCAA Rules and Regulations including attendance of NCAA Rules Seminars; timely completion of all NCAA forms and requests for information.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems. Experience with The Raiser's Edge and Archtics systems (or a similar ticketing database).

Minimum Education required: Bachelor's degree
Minimum Experience required: Eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience/training in Athletics Fundraising, Ticketing, and/or similar; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master's degree in an applicable area
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Public Relations and Promotions skills
Knowledge of NCAA Rules and Regulations
Understanding of Gender Equity and Title IX as they related to Intercollegiate Athletics
