The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation’s premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as “The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Deputy Athletics Director – Senior Woman Administrator for Intercollegiate Athletics. This confidential position reports directly to the Director of Athletics, working closely in all matters related to Intercollegiate Athletics, specifically as it relates to the student-athlete experience.

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least seven (7) years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of executive office management, work organization, coordination, and athletic practices.

- As a member of the Athletic Department’s Executive Committee; this position is expected to be available seven days a week to communicate effectively with constitutes (BIG 10 Conference Office, colleagues, donors, and athletic personnel), attend athletic events, participate in conference calls/meetings that have the ability to impact the overall operations of the Athletic Department.
