Temple University's Athletics Department is searching for a Director of Men's Basketball Sports Performance.

Position Summary:

The Director of Men’s Basketball Sports Performance is responsible for developing and managing strength and conditioning programs for Men’s Basketball at Temple University. Under the guidance of the Head Men’s Basketball Coach, the Director will design and implement programs to improve the athletic performance of student athletes. In addition to sports performance, the incumbent must also implement nutrition programs and injury prevention strategies through corrective exercise protocols. The incumbent will work with the head coach and the athletic training staff to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all student-athletes. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and at least two or more years of directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Education & Experience:

Preferred:

•      Previous experience with a Division I Men’s Basketball program.

•      Knowledge of NCAA and Conference regulations, specifically related to those related to recruiting.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with all student-athletes, coaches, and athletic administration.

• Must be able to work a highly variable schedule including nights and weekends.

• Must be able to life 30 - 50 pounds.

• Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Software including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

• Demonstrated problem solving, strong leadership, and team-building skills.

• Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment.

•       Ability to liaise with the coaching staff for officiating and rules, including University guidelines, American Athletic                              Conference guidelines, and NCAA rules.
