Job Description

The Director of Operations for Track and Field and Cross Country works in conjunction with the athletic departments assigned Sports teams (cross country and track and field) and assists with administrative duties as assigned. Including travel, recruiting, P-card reconciliation, camps, event management, etc.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Prepares itineraries as it pertains to team travel.

  2. Reserves buses through LU Transit, hotel accommodations, and trip budget reports/

  3. Provides travel assistance on away games.

  4. Conference tournament and NCAA travel planning and arrangements.

  5. Schedule all travel arrangements as it pertains to recruiting trips, including submitting reports to compliance, making all travel arrangements for recruits, and host money requests.

  6. Maintain coaches University Purchasing Cards per University policy and procedures.

  7. Assist head coaches to build and complete budget requests for both travel a nd operational budgets.

  8. Assists all new staff through new hire checklist.

  9. Pre-season housing communication.

  10. Liaison for the following: Staples and Procurement Office for office supplies; University Marketing department for printing requests; Higher One and LU Dining arrangements.

  11. Assist coaching staff with any pre-gram needs and work with game operations staff as needed.

  12. Communicate with IT Director of Business relations on all programs, projects, requests, and needs.
