Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama, one year of experience in multi-media production which included graphic design and delivery, and possession of a valid driver’s license and maintenance of a driving record sufficient to maintain insurance coverage with the University of South Alabama. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

ESPN+ experience is highly preferred.

Job Description Summary

The University of South Alabama’s Athletics department is seeking to hire a Director, Athletic Video Production. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.

Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

| Essential Functions |
- Manages all aspects of video creation/production for athletics, including producing, directing and managing ESPN+ streaming for football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer and volleyball. - Oversees setup, breakdown, and maintenance of all equipment associated with broadcasts. - Produces, directs, and manages all live productions on ESPN+ and assists, when able, with other in-house productions. - Prepares, guides, and troubleshoots all ESPN+ broadcasts for both primary and secondary systems. - Assists with troubleshooting issues associated with video boards at various athletics venues. - Continues to develop the skillset necessary to operate new hardware and software for ESPN+. - Hires, trains, schedules, and manages student workers in a variety of capacities including the camera crew and production crew. - Shoots and edits video content for use on JagNation TV and social media as necessary. - Regular and prompt attendance. - Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required, including nights and weekends as dictated by playing season schedules - Related duties as required.
