Position Information
| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelors’ degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ demonstrated experience working with high-risk students and providing one-on-one academic support to students, preferably in an NCAA Division I environment.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ demonstrated experience in higher education academic advising, counseling or student services, preferably in an NCAA Division I environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective learning strategies, motivational techniques and student skill development.
- Skilled application of the Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Moodle/Canvass.
- Perform all job duties in a manner consistent with NCAA, conference and University rules, regulations, ordinances, policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal, organization, communication, attention-to-detail, time management and teamwork skills.
- This position requires a high level of initiative, follow-through and problem solving skills.
- Possess a high degree of confidentiality to available information.

- Master’s Degree.
- Knowledge of University’s academic policies and curricula.
- Previous oversight on an NCAA Division I Academic Success unit.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.

- Serve as an academic mentor for at-risk student-athletes.
- Serve as an academic advisor.
- Provide supervisor oversight for Academic Staff and Graduate Assistant.
