To support the Head Women's Basketball Coach in navigating the complexities of roster management, recruiting, and analytics in today's evolving landscape. The Special Assistant will play a crucial role in driving the program forward, ensuring that every decision is grounded in data and strategic insight, ultimately leading the team to unprecedented success.
30% - Essential - Data-Driven Analysis & Program Evaluation:
Utilize advanced technology and analytics to assess team performance, conduct thorough opponent scouting, and evaluate all aspects of women's basketball (WBB) for informed decision-making.
25% - Essential - Strategic Game Preparation:
Prepare and communicate tailored defensive strategies for the current roster while providing advance scouting reports on upcoming opponents to inform game strategies.
15% - Essential - Mentorship & Development:
Mentor assistant coaches in offensive and defensive strategies (X's & O's) and oversee the practice player team to ensure effective training sessions that enhance player skills.
15% - Essential - Staff Evaluations & Recruiting Support:
Collaborate with the head coach in staff evaluations, assist in recruiting operations by analyzing potential recruits, and support the head coach during on-campus recruiting visits.
15% - Essential - Strategic Planning & Culture Development:
Assist the head coach in the strategic and tactical planning of the women's basketball program while infusing the program with positive energy,promoting a culture of enthusiasm and commitment.
Education - Bachelor's Degree - Experience in basketball coaching, analytics, and player development. Proficiency in film analysis
Experience - Strong understanding of basketball strategies, analytics, and player development. Proficiency in film analysis software and data analytics tools. Passion for women's basketball and commitment to fostering team culture.

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
