The Director of Athletic Development will cultivate and solicit major gift prospects for
LMU
Athletics, and steward athletic donors and alumni through visits, calls and events.
· Bachelor’s degree
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· The ability to work evenings, weekends and to travel extensively
· Master’s degree
· At least five years’ experience in a fundraising field, or transferable knowledge in a related field

· Develop a list of major gift prospects with the potential to support LMU Athletics, and develop engagement plans to cultivate these prospects through calls, visits, emails and other means

· Work with the Assistant VP for University Advancement to set appropriate goals for donor visits, major gift proposals and gift conversion
|
| Job Duty |
· Work with Athletics and University Advancement staff to identify relevant, active projects for fundraising support
|
| Job Duty |
· Work with Athletics to launch LMU Splitter Society
|
| Job Duty |
· Work with athletics affinity groups such as L Club, Baseball Diamond Club, 1897 Club, Athletes Hall of Fame and other groups to cultivate donor support
|

· Cultivate and expand Railsplitter Legends program to honor former athletes across all sports
|
| Job Duty |
· Work with Athletics and UA staff to develop and coordinate fundraising and alumni events throughout the year, for the purpose of cultivating alumni engagement and donor support

· Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, alumni, friends and the community at large
|
