Job Description
Provides oversight of the athletic strength and conditioning program. Specifically designs individual programs for athletes and supervises training and prepares, inspects, and maintains all weight room equipment. Maintains a thorough knowledge of, and adheres to, all University, Association, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). ; Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate.
Must be able to work remotely at the request of the University.
Responsibilities:
40% Designs individual programs for athletes and supervises training.
40% Coordinates specific times for sport teams in the weight room. Prepares, inspects, and maintains all weight room equipment. Maintains a thorough knowledge of, and adheres to, all University, Association, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. This position may be required to perform tasks related to game administration of sporting events hosted by Tarleton State University.
20% Provides orientation of equipment and exercises.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree
Four years of experience in athletic administration.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
General knowledge of NCAA rules. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs. Oral and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Registrations, Certifications, and Licenses:
CPR-AED, National Strength Coach Certification-CSCCA and/or NSCA is preferred.
Preferred Education:
Masters degree in Kinesiology is preferred.

Commensurate with experience
The target base annual salary is commensurate with experience and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
