Job Summary

  • Complies fully with all NCAA, conference, and Indiana University rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
  • Leads the planning, development, and implementation of yearly strength and conditioning programs and ongoing instructional plans for assigned teams and individuals, ensuring that special needs and issues as identified by the coaching staff are addressed.
  • Develops and directs safe lifting and conditioning techniques for the student athletes.
  • Develops and directs the rehabilitation programs for injured student athletes in collaboration with the sports medicine staff.
  • Develops, implements, and coordinates weight room schedule for assigned sports in conjunction with assigned sports and other strength and conditioning coaches. Implements and enforces all policies and procedures of the weight room.
  • Meets with assigned sports coaches regularly to review and discuss any and all aspects of their strength and conditioning program.
  • Coordinates the continuing education for strength and conditioning staff. Oversees intern and volunteer strength and conditioning coaches, as assigned.
