Under the Content Services unit leader, the position will be responsible for developing and executing all graphic design needs, concepts and projects for the University of Houston Department of Athletics.

1. Develops, implements and supervises the daily operations of the Graphics Design Unit.
   
2. Collaborates across teams to ensure a cohesive look across all assets and brings new design ideas and creative solutions for the growing Houston Athletics brand.
   
3. Completes graphic design projects as assigned including original creation or edits of campaigns, signage, event collateral social media and web graphics within University brand guidelines.
   
4. Manages the department request process for design projects received from across the organization.
   
5. Produces compelling visual assets across various platforms that engage and inspires a diverse and passionate fan base, while ensuring brand consistency.
   
6. Provides art direction as needed for internal and outsourced projects and makes recommendations to satisfy the project and drive the brand.
   
7. In all settings and in all situations, serves as a positive Ambassador for UH Athletics and UH in general.
   
8. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MQ:
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional disciplines. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related, 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
