The Director of Athletics Marketing is responsible for leading the in-game experience for Ball State Football, and oversees all logistics for Women’s Basketball and other sports as assigned. The Director sets the tone for in-game atmosphere. This position collaborates closely with the Ticket Office to develop strategic initiatives that drive revenue and grow fan attendance. It also contributes to the execution of external communications, including email marketing, social media, digital campaigns, and out-of-home advertising such as billboards. The Director of Athletics Marketing plays a critical role in Athletics’ on-campus presence by organizing and activating departmental involvement in campus events for current and incoming students, fans, and others. This role reports to the Senior Associate Athletics Director of Revenue Generation and contributes to a cohesive and compelling Ball State Athletics fan experience. Adheres to all NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules and regulations.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in communications, marketing, public relations, technical writing, digital media, sport administration or related field.
One of year of experience in a related field.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Master’s degree from an accredited university.
Two years relevant experience in intercollegiate athletics, sports business industry or related agency work.
Requires successful completion of a background check and education verification.

Oversee the development and execution of marketing, promotions and advertising plans for assigned sports. Create and implement in-game promotions, executes pre-game and during game promotions. Support department with revenue generation, enhancements to fan experience and ticket sales support.
