Responsible for overseeing and enforcing alcohol compliance protocols within Clemson Athletics, ensuring alignment with institutional policies, state regulations, and industry standards. This position serves as the primary administrator for alcohol operations at athletic venues and events. Additionally, the position supports event management and operations to ensure efficient and safe execution of athletic competitions and related activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
55% - Essential - Alcohol Compliance: Serve as the lead administrator for alcohol operations and policy enforcement across all athletic venues. Ensure compliance with university, conference, state, and local alcohol laws and regulations. Serve as primary point of contact for Athletics with state agencies. Oversee training and certification for all staff and third-party vendors involved in alcohol service. Monitor alcohol sales, storage, distribution, and signage to ensure consistent policy adherence. Partner with university police, risk management, and legal counsel to ensure safety and legal compliance. Lead game-day alcohol compliance operations, including credentialing and supervision of responsible service. Regularly review and update alcohol policies based on evolving laws, institutional changes, and industry trends. Provide post-event analysis and reporting on alcohol-related incidents and compliance performance.
30% - Essential - Athletic Event Operations: Assist with the planning and execution of home athletic events, including setup, staffing, credentials, and post-event breakdown for assigned sports. Support communication with campus and external partners to coordinate logistics, security, and fan experience. Participate in operations meetings and contribute to planning for both regular season and postseason events. Assist with oversight of third-party vendors and contractors during events. Provide on-site support during events to address operational issues and ensure effective resolution.
10% - Essential - Special Event Rentals: Serve as the athletics primary point of contact for all special event rentals of athletic venues. Lead the planning and execution of special events, including setup, staffing, contracts, and post-event billing for special events in all athletic venues. Coordinate with senior administration on special event promoting and booking.
5% - Essential - Food & Beverage: Serve as the athletics primary point of contact for all food & beverage/concessions across all athletic venues. Oversee contracts for all third-party vendors involved in food & beverage/concessions service for athletic venues and events. Manage food & beverage pricing proposals and provide post-event analysis of food & beverage sales to senior administration.
Education - Bachelor's Degree
Work Experience - 2+ years of relevant experience in athletics operations, event management, or administration.

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

Required to respond during an emergency closure or modified operations in order to provide the University's initial response to the emergency situation, including the execution of mission essential functions. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on-call.
