The Director of Fan Experience and Promotions will assume responsibility for leading marketing and promotional efforts for Liberty Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, and Baseball. The position will seek to maximize positive exposure, generate revenue, and enhance game day experience for all assigned sports. This position will interact on a regular basis with staff and the Assistant Athletic Director for Fan Experience to increase the promotion and fan engagement for all NCAA sports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create & execute marketing plans, develop attendance generating promotions, and coordinate gameday activities for Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, and Baseball.
Assist the Assistant Athletics Director of Fan Experience and Promotions as necessary on gameday, which may include coordinating timing sheets, game scripts, promotions as well as staffing.
Management of multiple graduate assistants and student interns as they perform their day-to-day responsibilities.
Work with the University Marketing department in regards to concepts and designs for video board content, promotional items, advertising, photo and video shoots.
Promotional items - coordinate the design, production, and distribution of promotional items such as schedule cards, posters, fan giveaway,s and other marketing related items.
Assist the Assistant Athletics Director of Fan Experience and Promotions in coordinating all aspects of the Liberty Athletics Annual Golf Tournament
Work closely with the Associate Athletics Director and the Assistant Athletics Director of Fan Experience and Promotions in all budgeting and finance elements of the department.
Manage the process of submitting requisitions for payments in the areas of promotional items and advertising, among other needs.
Oversee the Flames Insider weekly email.
Other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletics Director or the Assistant Athletics Director of Fan Experience and Promotions.

Supervises three Fan Experience and Promotions Assistants, interns, and student workers. Works closely with various areas to ensure that our events are managed properly.

ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL TO THE FUNCTION OF THE JOB
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.
Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business and community customers and associates.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent computer skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate. (Define if outdoor, dusty, weather conditions, etc.)
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
