Coordinates sport science activities within Clemson Athletics in an effort to promote player health and availability. Performs other duties as assigned.
40% - Essential - Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement a comprehensive athlete monitoring program with the following applications: student-athlete readiness, load management, diagnostic testing and performance profiling. In collaboration with the strength and conditioning staff, coordinate sport science activities within Clemson Athletics in an effort to promote player health and availability.
20% - Essential - Data Management: Build and manage a data collection infrastructure that utilizes student assistants as junior analysts.
20% - Essential - Return to Play Management: Collaborate in the construction and implementation of return to play protocols with sports medicine and strength and conditioning staff, using load management as a key element.
20% - Essential - Communication Management: Work with the strength and conditioning staff to develop and implementing a sport specific reporting system to effectively communicate data to the team's technical staff.
Education - Bachelor's Degree - Kinesiology, Sports Science, Bio-mechanics or related field
Work Experience - 2+ years
Education - Master's Degree - Kinesiology, Sports Science, Bio-mechanics or related field
Work Experience - Experience working with and manipulating large data sets. Experience with data visualization and reporting (R, python) . Experience working with load monitoring data in a team sports setting
Licenses & Certifications - Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association-Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (CSCCA-SCCC) or National Strength and Conditioning Association-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
