The Director of Football Video (Creative) is a professional position that leads the production of video content for LSU Football's social media, video boards, and broadcast productions for LSU Athletics.
50% Responsible for shooting football competitions, practices and promotions for various media including social media, coaches shows, broadcast, website and more; Works with professional cameras and editing equipment to guarantee LSU stays on the cutting edge of video; Works with all stakeholders including Administration, Communications, Marketing and sport specific staffs to ensure goals are met.
25% Liaison with South Stadium Productions/Creative Content on storytelling initiatives and to ensure brand consistency across all sports. Research and stay up to date on any new video technology or social media changes that could be valuable in our workflows.
10% Leads creation of video content regarding Name, Image, & Likeness efforts from LSU Athletics.
10% Ensure that proper equipment is available for entire South Stadium Productions team and prepared in order to fulfill requirements.
5% Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department diversity and inclusion initiatives through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities, as well as participation in the creation of an inclusive culture consistent with the values of LSU and its Athletics Department; Works collaboratively with the Office of Communications and University Relations and adheres to the standards set therein; Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with three years of proven graphic design skills in a high paced, demanding professional setting. Highly developed creative and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously. Ability to take digital storytelling or graphics from concept to production to edit/completion in a timely manner. Individuals who do not possess a four year degree or a degree in the specific/related discipline, but who otherwise possess extraordinary credentials or experience in information technology may also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Animation, Motion Graphics, Graphics Design, Multimedia or other relevant communications field; Experience with professional or collegiate sports teams; Experience with Cinema 4D, 3D Studio Max, Daktronics Content Studio / Show Control, Click Effects Crossfire and Blaze platforms and/or Ross Xpression.
Special or Physical Qualifications
Ability to work extended days and weekends. Ability to proficiently use Apple/Mac Computers. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite handling various software tools like After Effects, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and Adobe Illustrator.
