Position Focus:
The Director of Game Presentation will support the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing in developing inclusive, strategic, and interactive materials for use on LED video boards, managing game scripts and rundowns, directing videoboard shows, and creating innovative marketing and promotion plans for Yale Athletics.
Key Responsibilities include creating digital content (graphics and videos) for LED video boards at the Yale Bowl, John J. Lee Amphitheater, Reese Stadium and Johnson Field in conjunction with the Yale Athletics Brand Strategy. Serve as the game day producer and director by creating and executing game scripts, rundowns, and playlists, overseeing videoboard and audio operators, and managing overall game experience for select Division I sports. Collaborate with Yale Precision Marching Band and Yale Cheer Team on the presentation and timing of in-game performances. Assist in the creation and execution of marketing plans and promotional schedules (along with budgets) for select Division I sports to increase overall attendance and fan interaction. Assist with hiring, training, management, and evaluation of interns and student employees. Assist with the development and implementation of Yale’s Athletics’ digital presence through marketing initiatives and analytics through social media and creative marketing techniques. Ensures positive relationships between the Athletics department and key stakeholders, to include alumni, local community, fans, parents, faculty and other University constituents. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated experience.
Required Skill/Ability 1:
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Required: Photoshop, Premiere Pro. Preferred: Illustrator, After Effects, Final Cut Pro) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Required Skill/Ability 2:
Ability to operate video boards and manage in-game content.
Required Skill/Ability 3:
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Required Skill/Ability 4:
Direct knowledge of NCAA and Ivy League rules and regulations.
Required Skill/Ability 5:
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
Prior marketing and game operations experience in college or professional athletics preferred. Demonstrated experience with branding, promotions, marketing initiatives and content creation preferred. Ability to deliver creative content through video and graphics preferred. Experience with Motion Rocket and Nevco scoreboards preferred.
