Job Summary
Under administrative direction, the Director of Athletic Human Resources is responsible for leading a comprehensive human resources program that aligns with the mission and strategic objectives of Intercollegiate Athletics. This role involves overseeing all HR services, including HR operations, recruitment, training and organizational development, performance management, employee relations, policy interpretation, and creating and implementing programs that support academic professionals, civil service staff, extra help employees, graduate assistants, and student employees. Additionally, the Director of Athletic Human Resources offers guidance and expertise to Athletics leadership, managers, and employees on complex HR matters.

Job Responsibilities
Attend and participate in Campus Practice Group meetings to stay abreast of current laws, processes, and trends impacting HR.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to organize human resources operations within the area(s) and coordinate them with other organizational units.
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 5 years of related and progressive Human Resources experience.
Previous supervisory experience.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of discretion.
Attention to detail.
Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to identify organizational and business needs and drive continuous improvements.
Excellent organization, administrative, and project management skills to prioritize and address multiple tasks.
