The Director of Men’s Basketball Operations coordinates all operations of the Cornell University Men’s Basketball Team in accordance with Cornell, NCAA, and Ivy League rules. This role provides support for the men’s basketball staff and team by managing the day-to-day administrative operations of the program and working closely with the coaches, student-athletes, and colleagues in the Department of Athletics and Physical Education. The efforts of this position are done in collaboration with the Facilities Staff, the Cornell Sports Marketing staff, and Athletic Communications staff in order to support the advancement of the basketball community at Cornell. This individual assists the head coach with logistics to support the team, including but not limited to arranging team travel, organizing meals at home and on the road, planning and supporting alumni and team reunion activities, supervising social media content, planning logistics for recruiting visits, and managing equipment needs for the team. Additional responsibilities include uploading, breakdown, and sharing of team practice, scout, and game film. 

Frequent evening and weekend work is required, as well as travel during the basketball season. This is a 10-months per year position.

  • The ability to effectively collaborate with the other staffs on campus when planning logistics for practice, games, team events, and miscellaneous events throughout the year.
