| Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
The Department of Athletics exists to provide educational and athletic opportunities to young men and women, to provide an environment for student-athletes to learn, advance and excel both academically and athletically, and to serve the interests of the University by complimenting and enhancing its diversity and quality of life. Through its athletic programs, the University seeks to unite alumni, faculty, administration and students in a common shared experience. The governing unit within the Department of Athletics is the Director’s Office, which is the administrative office and clearinghouse for the entire Department of Athletics, and promotes the department’s guiding principle of educating and inspiring through athletics. This unit provides support to administrators, coaches, staff members and student-athletes in order to provide and promote a premier intercollegiate athletic program for The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Department of Athletics is a highly visible public relations arm of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with statewide, national and international recognition.

| Position Summary |
The Director of On-Campus Recruiting serves as a key leader in the Carolina Football Program under Head Coach, Bill Belichick and General Manager, Michael Lombardi. This role encompasses high-level decision-making and leadership in managing all facets of on-campus recruiting. The Director will oversee recruiting strategy, event execution, compliance, and resource management to position the football program for long-term success. Leveraging expertise in NCAA compliance, operational logistics, and program management, this position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the Carolina Football Program attracts and retains top-tier talent.

| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required (or foreign degree equivalent) with at least 1 year of experience in relevant independent instructional or educational activities; specific minimum experience is at the discretion of the Director of Athletics.

| Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Bachelor’s degree in sports management, business administration, or a related field. Minimum of five years of experience in collegiate football recruiting or athletics operations. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Proven ability to manage high-pressure environments with discretion and independent judgment. Comprehensive knowledge of NCAA and ACC rules and regulations.

| Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Experience in a leadership role within a Division I Football Program. Expertise in designing and managing recruiting events and game day operations. Advanced knowledge of NCAA compliance systems and software platforms.

| Special Physical/Mental Requirements |
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Travel for recruiting events and activities is essential. Physical ability to navigate stadiums and lift materials up to 25 pounds.
