Position Summary:
The director of operations, soccer is responsible for all program operations, managing travel for players and coaches/administrators/students, assists the Student Athlete Development staff in managing the student-athlete life skills and players’ development, and coordinating special events for the program. This person will also manage recruiting records in accordance with NCAA regulations for recruiting of student-athletes, manage booster functions for donors (including dinner meetings, fund raising events, etc.), and coordinate speaking engagements for head coach. The incumbent will serve as a representative of the University, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the Rice community and with the public.

The assistant athletic director for equipment is responsible for the oversight and management of the daily operation of Rice Athletics’ equipment operations, laundry services, inventory management, and equipment safety protocol. This position manages the department’s athletic promo accounts, is a primary liaison with equipment and apparel vendors, and responsible for the issuance and maintenance of athletic equipment for 16 intercollegiate sports and approximately 400 student-athletes. This person has oversight of both full time staff, hourly workers, and student workers, the equipment budgets for assigned programs, and other operational responsibilities as assigned by the Head Football Coach and/or Director of Athletics or designee.
