Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Director of Operations – Wrestling. This position is under the direct supervision of the head wrestling coach. The director of operations assists in the coordination and administration of the assigned intercollegiate wrestling program.Among the key duties of this position are the following: Works in connection with travel coordinator to book travel and hotel arrangements. Will be directly responsible for all specific details of travel including planning and arranging all meals, per diem requests/distribution, and develop and distribute itineraries for each trip as well as game day schedules for team travel. Manages hotel rooming assignments, flight manifests and coordinate with bus companies for away games including airport pick up/drop offs. Will arrange for and schedule recruiting travel and travel for coaches as necessary. Works with Rutgers facilities staff for all competition arrangements, practice and competition times with opponent institutions, facility preparation and any practices or other program events that may be planned for the competition venue. Schedules all competition day activities (meals, practice times, etc.) and participate in competition day activities as determined by the head coach. Responsible for communicating competition day schedules to student athletes, support staff, and any other relevant parties. Will be in contact with team’s director of development on a regular basis to track on repeat and new donors to the program. The director of operations will meet with donors on and off-campus to discuss and promote the wrestling program. Works with marketing office regarding all promotional activities, including special events, fundraising events, and various game day promotions related to the sport of wrestling. Handles all underclass recruiting – visits, clinics, correspondence, etc. Completes expense reimbursements and credit card reconciliations for wrestling staff members. Assists the head coach(es) with other operational duties as they arise.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver’s license would be required for this position.
Good organizational skills. Must be computer literate. Ability to communicate with student athletes, athletic administrative staff and parents of prospective recruits.
Knowledge of NCAA regulations relative to rules in administration and recruiting areas preferred.
Must be able to use computer, e-mail and recruiting software database.
Able to work evenings/weekends as needed. Clean driving record.
