Job Description: The Director of Player Development is responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive strategies for both offensive and defensive player development. This includes recruiting top talent, developing individual and team skills, and ensuring our student-athletes perform at their best both on the field and academically.
Key Responsibilities:
20% Recruiting:

Prepare and implement a long-term development plan for catchers.
20% Practice Responsibilities:
Implement and rehearse system defenses, including but not limited to:
Cuts and relays
1st and 3rd defense
Bunt defense
Special teams/situations
Practice daily fundamentals for every position on the field.
Aid in the offensive instruction of hitters.
Aid in the instruction of baserunning.
Coach the catchers in fundamentals, including but not limited to:
Blocking
Receiving
Throwing
10% Game Responsibilities:
Engage in high-level advanced scouting of opponents.
Prepare opposing pitcher & hitter reports and strategies.
Prepare a defensive shifting report to best prepare the defense for batted balls.
Manage in-game defensive strategy and player positioning.
Shift players on the field to ensure the highest probability of positive outcomes.
Call defensive systems with a keen understanding of the game situation.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Education, or a related field.
5+ years of coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level.
Strong understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with technology and data analytics tools used in player development.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Sports Management, Exercise Science, Leadership, or a related field.
Previous experience as an Offensive Coordinator.
Demonstrated success in recruiting and developing high-level athletes.
