Summary

The Director of Player Personnel will report directly to the Head Coach. The Director of Player Personnel will lead all NIL opportunities / engagement, special event planning and serve as the key point of contact for alumni relations for the Men's Ice Hockey program. The Director's responsibilities are restricted and defined by NCAA and Big Ten rules and guidelines and University policies. This position will work cooperatively with student-athletes, coaches, and athletic department staff.

Responsibilities*

• Manage all NIL opportunities for the team.
• Maintain strong working knowledge of NIL rules and landscape.
• Coordinate all Alumni Relations.
• Manage relationships for all former, current and future student athletes.
• Assist coordinating recruiting visits and help with recruiting associated tasks.
• Organize and oversee all special event planning including community service, alumni golf outing and summer camps.
• Public relations, main point of contact for the public and outside groups that work with the team.
• Help manage ticket allocation for home and away tickets for student-athletes, staff and recruits.
• Assist with logistics for the men's hockey program.
• Coordinate special projects as determined by the Head Coach.
• Provide personalized support for the Head Coach's daily activities.

Required Qualifications*

• Must have 4 year college degree.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Well versed in economic/sales concepts.
• Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
• Must be able to interact and communicate with all individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database video and presentation software.
• Must work well in work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and time sensitive demands.
• Availability to work evening and weekend hours including travel to away competitions.
• 2-3 years of administrative support experience.
  

Desired Qualifications*

• Proficient knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat and various database software.
• Previous playing or work experience at the Division 1 level or higher.
• Must demonstrate an understanding of the NCAA Compliance rules, including NIL.
• Experience working in the NIL space within college athletics.
• Previous experience in event planning.
