The mission of the NC State University Department of Athletics is to prepare student-athletes to compete at the highest level and to inspire them to be leaders now and for the future by providing the best environment to achieve their athletic, academic, and personal aspirations as well as providing support for the professional development of our coaches and staff, all within the role of the greater institutional relationships to the University. The NC State Football program is a Division 1 FBS program within the Atlantic Coast Conference.
This position manages recruitment processes of all players being recruited by NC State. Duties include but are not limited to: Supervise the Director of Scouting Lead contact on all campus/facility tours – official and unofficial visits Maintain accurate mailing list (oversee execution of physical mail) Oversee execution of recruiting projects (handwritten notes series & call list) Implement specific recruiting plans for top prospects, track events that have occurred Develop with Director of Creative Media on relevant and trendy ideas for graphics Develop communication plan/calendar for all recruits Research backgrounds on Top recruits Research all social media on Top recruits Assist in getting Transcripts for Top recruits Send recruiting graphics to coaches Keep Recruiting Depth Charts up to date Maintain accurate profile on top prospects Start pipelines for top prospects in coach’s areas Oversee execution of all game cut ups for all prospects Assist all coaches with list of top prospects in their area Assist all coaches with the planning of fall evaluation, Dec/Jan contact and spring recruiting periods Assist all coaches with any other recruiting needs Top Junior College prospect list – both offense/defense Top prospect list for the transfer portal Research the top recruiting trends Research past recruiting classes, Identify where the best recruits are coming from Special Projects assigned by Head Coach
Other duties as assigned by Heach Coach and Administrators.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
1 year of prior experience working in collegiate football recruiting office 5 years prior coaching/working experience in football program Data entry and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint (or similar software). Experience working with databases. Experience with mass mailings and correspondence. Experience running business or athletic program social media account(s). Strong written/verbal communication skills.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or other related graphic design programs. Post-Secondary education and one year of related office experience or equivalent preferred. Event planning experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills, experience with hosting and entertaining people.
A valid NC driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of start date is required. Must be maintained as a condition of employment.
