Job Summary

The purpose of the Director of Recruiting and Player Personnel is to provide direct support for the day to day operations of the football program as allowed by NCAA rules.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support for the organization, management, and administration of a NCAA FBS Football program as allowed by NCAA rules; including, but not limited to:
  • Maintain the ARMS recruiting database in conjunction with the Athletic Compliance office to advise and assist the coaching staff
  • Serve as the main point of contact for high school and junior college coaches
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the NCAA Transfer Portal
  • Coordinates travel for official and unofficial recruiting visits while researching and adhering to NCAA bylaws and State of Louisiana, University of Louisiana System, and University travel policies and procedures
  • Provide consultation and advice to coaching staff on proper travel guidelines laid out by the NCAA and State Policy PPM-49
  • Investigates and assists football coaches in resolution of matters significant to recruiting and player personnel relating to the NCAA, State Policy PPM-49, ULS and University policies
  • Assist with coordination of football showcase events
  • Increase community support through positive public relations initiatives
  • Help maintain an atmosphere of compliance with NCAA, Sun Belt Conference, State, and Institutional rules and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
