Purpose of Position

The Department of Athletics is seeking qualified candidates to work as a part-time Director of Softball Operations. The position will assist the Head Softball Coach with all aspects of the softball program at UND, ensuring the highest standards of performance, development, and engagement for student-athletes. This role requires strong leadership and excellent communication skills to manage both the operational and administrative functions of the program.

• Prepare and track team purchases and travel expenses, as assigned.

Purpose of Position

The position will assist the Head Softball Coach with all aspects of the softball program at UND, ensuring the highest standards of performance, development, and engagement for student-athletes. This role requires strong leadership and excellent communication skills to manage both the operational and administrative functions of the program.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Arrange and assist with softball team travel.
• Prepare and track team purchases and travel expenses, as assigned.
• Prepare and submit team travel forms to the UND Athletics Business Office.
• Assist coaching staff in all aspects of the softball program within NCAA bylaws.
• Assist in the planning, development, and coordination of all UND softball camps and clinics.
• Track student-athlete practice hours, including individual workouts, strength and conditioning, and team practice hours.
• Assist with softball home gameday operations including, but not limited to coordinating player pass lists and arranging opposing teams practice times.
• Follow all NCAA, conference and UND rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Softball Coach.

Minimum Requirements

• Softball/Baseball playing experience of at least three (3) years.
• Previous experience working or playing at a NCAA Division I institution.
• Experience in working collegiate softball camps.
• Strong knowledge of NCAA softball rules and regulations.
• Associate’s degree required
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
