The Director of Olympic Sports Nutrition will work in collaboration with the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Nutrition in the planning, implementation management and evaluation of the NC State Olympic Sports Nutrition Program.
Primary responsibilities of the Director of Olympic Sports Nutrition include:
CLINICAL SPORTS NUTRITION
NUTRITION EDUCATION
FOOD SERVICE MANAGEMENT
APPLIED PERFORMANCE NUTRITION
SPORTS NUTRITION ORGANIZATION AND STAFFING
Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field required.
|
| Other Required Qualifications |
- Demonstrated expertise in sports nutrition and dietetics, including application of evidence-based nutrition practices for athletic performance and wellness.
- Ability to provide individualized nutrition counseling and Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for student-athletes in a collegiate or high-performance environment.
- Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations related to nutrition, supplements, and student-athlete meal provision.
- Ability to develop and deliver nutrition education programs, presentations, and educational resources for varied audiences.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Master’s degree in nutrition, exercise physiology, or a related field.
- Experience collaborating with dining services, athletics staff, or sports medicine professionals to support nutrition and performance initiatives.
- Experience supporting program administration functions such as staff training, budgeting, vendor coordination, or compliance monitoring.
