Reporting to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations is responsible for assisting the head coach to ensure the program’s success as directly related to the operations of the program. All staff members are responsible for the policy, procedures, and guidelines of Hofstra University and the job requirements specific to the particular assignments inherent to basketball. This position requires working weekends and holidays and attending athletic events as appropriate. Candidates must be willing and able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Association, and the

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinates and manages all team travel (hotel, airline, bus, ground transportation) and team meals for home and away contests.
Arranges for all pre-game meals for home contests.
Ensures that student-athletes and coaching staff are aware of all meetings/meals/departure times for home and away contests.
Coordinates scheduling for home and away shoot arounds/practice times.
Responsible for monitoring budgets, assisting in ordering clothing/equipment.
Prepares yearly calendar for pre/post workout schedules.
Serves as the program contact for Athletic Facilities.
Oversees Study Hall/Class checks.
Coordinates video development/breakdown with student assistants.
Oversees student managers and graduate assistant.
Assists with coordination of official recruitment visits.
Assists, develops, and participates in program planning, contest preparation, scouting, film breakdown, practice sessions, game day activities; coordinates game and practice schedules.
Available to participate in public relations activities, community outreach programs, marketing and development initiatives as well as alumni engagement.
Assists with the coordination of Underclassman Day, Camps and Clinics.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 1-3 years relevant work experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

_Hofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education. In addition to the salary offered, we offer a collegial and inclusive culture, and a benefits program which includes generous paid time off, paid holidays, tuition remission for employees and eligible dependents, and a retirement plan with University contributions.
