Directs the student-athlete development in Soft ball through the management and utilization of program facilities, equipment, and technology and assessment of individual player and overall team strengths and weaknesses. Supports the head coach in the day-to-day operations of the Softball program.
45% - Essential - Player Development, Opponent Scouting and Recruiting Manages the assessment phase of the Softball player development program. Evaluates current student athlete strengths and weaknesses through the use of video analysis and personal observation. Provides regular skill assessment reports to coaching staff. Presents staff with strategies for player development based on analysis of student-athlete strengths and weaknesses and the evaluation of the team during scrimmages, practices, and games. Assist coaches in creation of practice plans/itineraries, training methods. Develops presentations for coaches to use to instruct players. Provides opponent scouting reports to coaching staff. Organizes Recruit Mailing and Schedules.
20% - Essential - Player Analytics and Technology:Manages all equipment and facility operations relative to player development. Directs staff, student-assistants, and student-athletes in the proper usage of these systems. Liaisons with Strength & Conditioning, and Sport Science to decipher data and how to integrate within the program.
15% - Essential - Pitching / Practice Planning: Assists in the pitching development of current players and pitching strategies. Assists with identification of roles within current pitching staff and development of those roles. Runs and analyzes the data produced by Trackman and Rapsodo technology with hitters and pitchers. Assists in the scouting and strategy of opposing hitters. Communicates between pitching coach and strength and conditioning staff in reference to bullpen and weekly pitching schedules. Assists in the scouting of offensive opponents. Assists in the daily overall team practice.
10% - Essential - Student-Athlete Transition: Serves as liaison between parents and coaches. Counsels and monitors freshman student-athletes transition from sign date through the end of freshman year. Coordinates signees' initial eligibility with the National Collegiate Athletic Association Eligibility Center. Manages signees' admission process with Compliance, Admissions, and Financial Aid. Coordinates signees' mid-year and summer move-in-days, ensuring acquisition of housing, ID cards, physicals, parking decals, eligible financial aid, and other elements related to the student athletes' orientation. Collects required medical documents and information from signees. Organizes player/parent orientation meetings.
10% - Essential - Student-Athlete Services: Works with support staff to create student-specific development and team building programming, including selection of guest speakers and facilitation of community service projects. Assists coaching and academic support staff in monitoring the academic performance of student-athletes. Liaison with Mental Performance and Health programming and integration in program, practice planning.
Education - High School or Equivalent
Work Experience - 3+ years
Education - Bachelor's Degree
Work Experience - Experience as a player, coach, or staff member in professional, college or high school softball.

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
