Job Summary: The Director of Player Well-Being oversees the mental and physical health of the football team through the identification and correction of risk factors that directly correlate to player disability. Conducts bio-mechanical assessments on football athletes to determine injury risk. Oversees corrective exercise programs on “at-risk” football athletes in conjunction with the strength and conditioning staff. Conducts annual injury data analysis for football in an effort to identify injury trends in the program. Serves as the liaison with the behavioral health department and work with them on the psychological needs of football athletes.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of athletic training experience; or master's degree and six (6) years of athletic training experience. State of Alabama Athletic Trainer's Association License or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment. National Athletic Trainers Association certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience within a Division IA program. Experience teaching at the collegiate level. Experience administering a collegiate athletic training program. Experience as a supervisor.
