Summary of Job Duties: Under the direction of the Associate Athletic Director for Broadcast Services, the Editor/Producer is responsible for production and creation of video content for University of Arkansas Athletics sports programs which are disseminated through video boards at Athletic Department venues, SEC Network, ArkansasRazorbacks.com, syndicated television programming, and other multimedia outlets.
They will collaborate with the RSN staff as well as members of the content team on video projects for producing video scoreboard graphics, features, and activities displayed during home sporting events and on various production projects as assigned. This position will require sports event coverage and television production as assigned requiring frequent nights, weekends, and holidays as to fulfill assigned duties.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Media, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
At least two years of experience creating video content for collegiate athletic department and/or professional sports program
At least two years of editing experience in non-linear formats
At least two years of videography experience including lighting, on-location shooting, live sporting events, and television/streamed shows using professional grade cameras.
Must supply a strong portfolio of previous work creating video and motion graphic projects
Experience producing and/or directing live sporting event productions (broadcast & video boards)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with 4K footage and LUTs
Experience creating content for non-standard video display dimensions
Familiarity with multiple video file formats and media archival systems
Highly proficient with Adobe Premiere editing, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and 3D software
Skilled level experience in Electronic News Gathering (ENG) (field video camera, lighting, and related audio)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent communication skills
Ability to clearly communicate project goals to all members of the production team
Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
Able to work across and with departments to successfully portray the Arkansas Razorbacks brand
