The Associate will work with the Flames Club staff to ensure that the mission and vision of the Flames Club is carried out. The individual will have a role that aids in operations, membership retention and season ticket sales, event & hospitality execution, donor services, and various assigned tasks that will help to ensure the successful operation of the Flames Club and the retention of donors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist with the execution of 60+ annual member events.
2. Assist with game day hospitality and parking management for up to 5,000 members
and guests.
3. Work home and select away football games, home basketball games, home baseball
games, and other Flames Club events as needed.
4. Assist in Annual Fund, season ticket sales, and other phone and mail campaign
efforts.
5. Assist with fulfillment of donor benefit and privileges, including priority seating and
parking.
6. Assist with office operational tasks and errands to ensure smooth office function.
7. Build relationships with our current members and prospective donors.
8. Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an
exemplary manner.
9. Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Associate will be responsible for assisting in the management of 60-75 Flames Club
Ambassadors on game days. Ability to lead the game day workers, answer questions, solve
problems, and communicate well with these student-workers will be a large part of the
Associate’s responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
B.S. degree desired. Degree preferably in business, communications, sport management, or related field. Effective communication both verbally and in writing. Ability to intuitively reason, analyze
information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and
complex nature. Excellent computer and organizational skills. Strong interest in and
knowledge of college athletics, especially football, basketball, and baseball. In addition to
traditional office hours, must be willing to attend athletic and fundraising events, to include
nights and weekends as needed. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable
DMV record, and liability insurance is required.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this
position is a climate-controlled setting. It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate.
Working environment also includes facilitation of events outdoors occasionally.
Driving Requirements
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel in the performance
of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an
acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
