The Quality Control Specialist provides critical data analysis from hours of footage and makes important evaluations of opponents’ strengths/weaknesses and develops game strategy for Dartmouth’s offensive team to achieve success. Using similar analytic skills and independent judgment creates the priority ranking of student recruits and communicates with prospective recruits and their parents to build excitement and enthusiasm for Dartmouth’s football brand.
Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
• Strong knowledge of football skills and strategies
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate and assess recruiting videos independently
• Familiarity with current play by play databases and analytics
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a diverse community
• Ability to work independently and strong organizational skills to meet deadlines
• Ability to recruit effectively with no athletic grants and highly selective admissions standards

Key Accountabilities
| Description |
Opponent Evaluation and Game Strategy
* Drawing independent conclusions from viewing hours of video footage and related data points, prepares opponent profiles, identifies Dartmouth’s strengths and develops strategic game plans boards for use by the Dartmouth coaches and student-athletes.
* Using data repositories and analytics available from a variety of subscription services, uses own judgment to evaluate performance of individual Dartmouth athletes; breaks down every play and the likelihood of that play; makes technical and strategic recommendations to coaching staff.
* Independently acquires new offensive training concepts and position-specific knowledge to enhance the strategic readiness of the coaching staff. Identifies what other teams are doing differently in similar situations and why.

| Description |
Recruiting and Scouting
* Participates in developing and implementing the overall offensive recruiting plan, including but not limited to: determining program needs by position and class, identifying select recruiting events to attend, and contributing to the creation of admissions priorities.
* Serves as the front-line evaluator for all interested recruits: reviews recruit intake questionnaires and submitted films, tracks their academic information (transcripts, test scores), organizes and hosts on-campus visits by recruits and their parents. Has full authority to make first cuts.
* Prepares scouting assessments, tendency charts and critical statistical analysis for use by the coaches and others.
* Maintains data in the recruiting database, complies with appropriate record keeping as required by the NCAA.
* Communicates independently on the current status of the program to inform prospects/parents.

* Reconciles team travel expenses.
* Promotes Dartmouth and the football program through participation in camps, clinics, speeches and community involvement.
* Communicates in large and small groups with alumni, parents and other supporters regarding status of the football program.
