Job Duties
Norfolk State University, a NCAA Division I institution, is seeking applicants for an Offensive Coordinator Assistant Football Coach. This candidate will assist the Head Football Coach in all aspects of the day-to-day operations of a NCAA Division I football program and will coordinate the offensive aspects of the program. The candidate will also serve as a specific position coach.
Duties include but not limited to teaching student-athletes the fundamentals and mechanics of football; evaluating and recruiting potential student-athletes; organizing and conducting team practices; performing administrative and public relations duties; and other duties as assigned. The coordinator will manage the offensive staff and will plan and design the offensive strategy.
The successful candidate will travel for both recruiting and team travel. The work schedule requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings.
The physical requirements for work is medium demand, including lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent carrying/lifting objects.
The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure compliance with NSU, Commonwealth of Virginia, NCAA and MEAC rules, regulations and policies.
