GENERAL MANAGER / FOOTBALL OPERATIONS
The General Manager (GM) of Football Operations is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of roster management, recruiting operations, and team personnel decisions to ensure the program’s competitive success. The GM supervises all of the football program support staff.
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Five years of professional experience in recruiting, scouting, or roster management in collegiate or professional sports.
Proficiency in analytic tools and a familiarity with
NCAA
rules and regulations.
Ability to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Master’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Oversees scholarship allocation and roster management to maintain compliance with
NCAA
regulations.
Develops and implements recruiting strategies in collaboration with the coaching staff to attract top talent.
Manages the program’s transfer portal strategy and oversees evaluations of potential transfer student-athletes.
Monitors market trends in recruiting, player evaluation, and
NIL
(Name, Image, Likeness) opportunities.
Collaborates with the Director of Football Operations on salary and budget planning for football staff.
Leads data analytic efforts related to recruiting, performance metrics, and scouting.
Acts as the primary liaison between the football program and external recruiting services or scouting organizations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
