| Job Description Summary |
The Graduate Assistant will assist the Associate Athletics Director, Compliance in implementing and monitoring a comprehensive compliance program with respect to NCAA, conference and University policies and procedures and the day-to-day operation of the Athletics Department. This individual must possess high ethical standards, integrity and a willingness to exhibit a strict adherence to NCAA, University and departmental rules and regulations.

| Responsibilities |
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
-Utilize the NCAA Legislative Services Database for the internet (LSDBi) for researching rule interpretations and case precedent in preparing rule interpretations, NCAA waiver applications and rules violations.
-Assist with the development and maintenance of protocols for monitoring compliance with NCAA, conference and university rules and regulations.
-Assist in the review of recruiting records, countable athletically-related activity records and complimentary admissions forms.
-Assist with collection of documentation for eligibility decisions, maintenance of student-athlete history files and the issuance of National Letter of Intent and athletic scholarships.
-Assist with planning compliance education sessions.
-Assist with data entry into the NCAA Compliance Assistant and production of reports.
-Produce eligibility reports, update Athletic Awards signings, and check IRL management on the NCAA Eligibility Center website.
-Discussion and analysis of initial, two-year transfer and four-year transfer eligibility decisions.
-Assist the Associate Athletics Director, External Operations with various game day responsibilities, marketing efforts, and external operations.
-Assist with Athletics events and functions, which includes nights and weekends, as needed
-Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
As an individual employed in an administrative capacity in the athletics department, you are subject to the regulations of the NCAA. If at any time it is determined that you are in violation of such regulations, then by the provision of the NCAA enforcement procedures, you may be subject to corrective disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. ’

| Minimum Qualifications |
Bachelor’s degree required. Must be enrolled and maintain satisfactory progress in one of the University’s Graduate Programs. High ethical standards and integrity. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to work independently, as well as within a team-oriented work group. Knowledge of business and accounting procedures. Strong organizational skills.

| Preferred Qualifications |
Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules preferred.

Part time; a minimum of 20 hours per week; year round position; nights and weekends as needed for coverage of athletic events/functions
