. Graduate assistants provide experiential learning in select areas and to assist the individual in a successful transition to future educational and professional opportunities
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to day to day assistance in the office, assisting head coach with practice, monitor study halls and academic progress, strength and conditioning, as well as aid in further development of new/social media and multimedia (Twitter, Facebook, etc.), and continue developing relationships within the local community to promote
WSC
Baseball.
Make satisfactory progress on degree program and maintain good academic standing (
GPA
> 3.0).
This position will report directly to the Head Coach and is expected to adhere to
NCAA
and
NSIC
regulations as well as the policies and procedures set forth by the
WSC
Athletic Department.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, undergraduate

2.75 minimum

Wayne State College is seeking a Graduate Assistant for the Baseball program. A total (maximum) of 800 hours of work is required for this Graduate Assistantship. Typically, twenty-five (25) hours of work will be assigned per week by your supervisor during the Academic Year. The special appointment provides a stipend of $10,800.00 for the 2024-2025 academic year and a graduate tuition waiver available for up to 18 credit hours per academic year including the immediately following summer session. All fees will be the responsibility of the student regardless of online or on-campus. Tuition remissions awarded for online courses will not exceed the comparable amount provided for an on-campus course for a resident student.
This is an appointment with the opportunity of renewal after the first year.
