The Graduate Assistant for Football Operations and Recruiting assists with managing the day-to-day operations of the
UIW
Football team, takes administrative responsibility for all events and activities of the football program, and oversees the support services of student-athletes. The position will serve as the liaison for all numerous campus partnerships. The position reports to the Director of Football Operations.
Handles the day to day operations of the football program.
Works with athletics department communication team on social media activity.
Supports planning for travel arrangements made for the team and meals for games.
Work with development team to coordinate football supporter travel and other fundraising events.
Works directly with compliance office to ensure football program adheres to
NCAA
regulations.
Assists with planning and execution of all logistics of preseason training camp.
Assists with planning and execution of meals for official visits.
Acts as football program liaison for selected campus partners.
Acts as liaison for the football program to athletics administration for non-football related activity.
Manages and recruits student workers and/or volunteers for football program.
Represents the football program in a professional manner.
Complies with
NCAA
, Conference, and
UIW
regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
| Knowledge Skills and Abilities |
- Strong Organization skills and ability to multi-task.
- Proficient in event management from inception to full execution.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Personal computer applications, including proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to provide leadership and direction.
- Ability to effectively and creatively manage complex issues, develop, analyze and monitor complicated budgets.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to interact with individuals at all levels in the department, the University and the University community.
- Energetic self-starter who exercises sound judgment; Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Current UIW graduate student.

| Required Work Experience |
Previous experience in intercollegiate athletics and/or customer service.

| Preferred Qualifications |
None.

| Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations |
Valid driver license, must be at least 21 years of age, and have driving record insurable by UIW insurance carrier.

Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
|

Ability to lift equipment, tools and/or materials weighing up to 25 pounds waist high
