Job Summary

This position is responsible for supporting the management and daily operation of the Union University men’s and women’s golf program and will begin August 2022.

Essential Job Duties

Assist in organizing and conducting team practices, conditioning, and workouts. Help monitor the academic progress of student-athletes. Possibly conduct study halls. Assist in recruiting potential student-athletes to Union University. Demonstrate leadership, sportsmanship, and conduct becoming of the teaching, coaching, and/or business profession. Assist in the organization of team camps; marketing team camps; recruiting campers; assisting in budget preparation for the camps, including managing camp income generated by registration, concessions, and merchandise sales. Travel required. ** Union University is committed to strict compliance with any and all rules and regulations of the NCAA and the Gulf South Conference. An infraction by the employee of any rule or regulation of the NCAA or the Gulf South Conference will render the employee subject to progressive disciplinary action including, but not limited to, the immediate termination of employment. Infraction of any rule or regulation of the NCAA or the Gulf South Conference shall include any infraction whatsoever, whether intentional or unintentional.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree is required. Acceptance into a post-bachelor’s academic program at the University, as well as full-time course registration into the same program of study is also required.Applicants will have played collegiate golf, preferably and the NCAA level and have a desire to become a head coach at the completion of their time at Union University.
