Southern Nazarene University is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a graduate assistant coach for the SNU Men’s & Women’s Rugby Program as it competes in the NCR DI category. The successful candidate will have a mature, growing relationship with Christ and collegiate coaching/playing experience. Applicants must be willing to lead our JV program if applicable and assist as a member of the varsity coaching staff in all areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
Assist the Head Coach in providing leadership for the SNU Men’s & Women’s Rugby Program.
Play an integral role in the day-to-day administrative responsibilities, player/team spiritual development, daily team training, evaluation and recruitment of student-athletes, academic monitoring, and skill development of players.
This position must work within SNU and NCR guidelines to provide student-athletes with an exceptional collegiate experience while competing for championships.

College undergraduate completion
Minimum of two years of related work experience and/or relevant training
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize multiple demands in fast-paced work environment
Typing and spelling competency
Experience with various computer software applications
Data entry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Some coaching experience
Experience in higher education
Supervision Received:
Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor, although other staff members in the unit may provide work direction.
Supervision Exercised:
May be responsible for the coordination of work assignments for student employees.
