Summary of Job Duties: The Volleyball Graduate Assistant Coach will serve as an assistant to the Volleyball program in conjunction with completing required coursework for the respective graduate degree program. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education;

• Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate degree program or good standing with the UA Little Rock Graduate School for continuing graduate students;

• Ability to work the required hours (FT-50% - 20 hours per week/PT-25% - 10 hours per week) with regular attendance.

Preferred Education and/or Experiences

• ## 1 to 2 years of experience in volleyball either coaching or playing;
• ## Enrolled in at least nine (9) credit hours per semester in graduate-level credit coursework.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist coaching staff with the implementation of daily practice;

• Assist with the coordination operations; securing hotel contracts, transportation reservations, meals, travel itineraries, etc.;

• Manage team budgeting and financial reporting using Workday software;

• Assist coaching staff with recruiting;

• Analyze opponents’ gameplay and prepare tactical reports;

• Assist management duties; manage equipment/apparel;

• Assist with social media content development;

• Other duties assigned by Head Volleyball Coach.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to work effectively with student-athletes;

• Possess excellent written and communication skills;

• Possess excellent computer skills (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint);

• Ability to work with diverse populations of faculty, staff, students, and community members;

• Maintain an appropriate degree of confidentiality.
