Position Summary:
The Hall of Athletics Receptionist will play a major role as gatekeeper for anyone who enters the Booth Family Hall of Athletics. The Receptionist will be responsible for welcoming all Kansas Athletics guests, visitors, and prospects in a friendly, positive manner; answer questions, give directions, and manage the flow of traffic in the Hall of Athletics entrance. In addition, this position will assist with the daily operations including opening/closing procedures, monitoring the security of artifacts and presentation of the Hall, and assisting with research or scanning projects as assigned.

Shift availability is currently:
Tuesday: 10am - 12pm and 2pm - 5pm
Thursday: 10am - 12pm and 2pm - 5pm
Friday 2pm - 5pm
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and various digital devices, including, but not limited to: cell phone, printer, copy machine, and other related devices. This job requires flexibility, adaptability and the ability to perform job-related duties on short notice.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This position may require frequent bending, moving, lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 25 pounds; sitting or standing up to four to six (4-6) hours each day.
Travel
There is no travel for this position.
Hours of Work
This is a part-time position with no benefits and will average 10 to 15 hours each week. Kansas Athletic hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Booth Family Hall of Athletics hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
