Job Description:

Expectations as Head Baseball Coach include, but are not limited to:

• Development and implementation of a successful intercollegiate baseball program.
• Coordinate all aspects of recruiting and retention of student-athletes.
• Budget management
• Assist with field and facility maintenance.
• Implement practice plans and game strategy.

Expectations as Assistant Director of Athletics for Facilities & Transportation include, but are not limited to:

• Collaborate with contracted vendors to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of athletic facilities.
• Monitor all athletic facilities to ensure they remain safe, secure, and well-maintained.
• Oversee planning of set-up and tear-down of events.
• Work with athletic coaches and campus organizations to develop and coordinate ongoing scheduling of facilities.
• Assist in contacting and organizing game day staff.
• Assist with special events and external events scheduled in athletics facilities.
• Manage team travel for the department.
• Oversee scheduling, use, and maintenance of department van fleet for athletics as well as other departments wishing to use vans.

Other responsibilities include adherence to institutional, Gulf South Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations, supporting the vision of the CBU Athletics Department, and other duties as assigned.This position must be able to develop positive relationships with faculty, staff, students, media, alumni, and boosters while interacting successfully with department personnel and the College community.

Requirements:

• Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education with previous experience as a coach or assistant coach at the high school or collegiate level.
• Excellent communication and computer skills required.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred qualifications include aMaster's degree from an accredited institution of higher education and collegiate coaching and recruiting experience.
