The Head Softball Coach is a full-time, 12-month, benefited position responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Softball Program. The Head Coach provides effective leadership, recruitment, coaching and monitoring of student-athletes to encourage successful academic and team performance. The Head Coach is responsible for planning the annual competition schedule, practice schedules, program administration, managing the program budget and providing for the health and safety of the athletes involved in the program.
UMBC offers competitive compensation. This role starts at $92,000 and has over 4 weeks of vacation for regular full time roles. Tuition remission is also available.

It is expected that the successful candidate will abide by all written policies and procedures of the Department of Athletics, UMBC, the America East Conference (AEC) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and three (3) years of high level coaching experience.
A background check will be required.

Salary: $92,000 to $103,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
