The Athletics Department has a position available for a Women's Tennis Coach who will be responsible for all phases of a Division II Women's Tennis program, within University, Conference and NCAA rules and regulations. This position reports to the Athletic Director.

Apply NowResponsible for all aspects of the intercollegiate Women's Tennis program, including coaching, training, and counseling student athletes, recruitment, scheduling, and travel arrangements for all home and away games.
Ensure that recruiting activities, student-athlete eligibility determination, scholarships and financial aid programs, scheduled practice sessions, and related activities governed by NCAA are in compliance with NCAA rules and regulations as well as applicable conference rules and University policies.
Monitor the academic progress of each participating student-athlete and provide opportunities for academic assistance to student-athletes if required.
Fundraise for the program by actively participating in fundraising events and promotional activities.
Organize and train student-athletes for maximum performance and conditioning.
Purchase team equipment in conjunction with the equipment manager.
Contribute to the overall success of the University's intercollegiate athletics program by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in physical education, recreation, health, or related field.
Two (2) years experience as a coach or assistant coach in collegiate coaching required.
Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Prefer certification in first aid, CPR, and AED or be required to attain certification within first 90 days of employment.
Must have knowledge of the various components of a collegiate sports program.
Must be able to communicate clearly with students, faculty and staff.
Must have a solid grasp of sports rules, functionality of a comprehensive collegiate program and ability to train students.
Ability to travel and work evenings, weekends and some holidays.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
Summer - Monday-Thursday, 8:00am to 5:30pm
Travel, Evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
